My dearest darling. You are a light and an inspiration. Thank you for writing through this (for me and you and all of us). You continue to tell the truth with grace and force, and it reminded me today that sometimes the most radical thing an artist can do is not disappear. Thank you for not just making brilliant art, but for stubbornly, gorgeously, advocating for yourself and therefore staying with us. Adore you.
You already know. This has been sitting in my draft for months. And I had to finally formulate it as to put and end to it. To digest it. Thank you for you continuous support and encouragement. You inspire me to kept writing and telling my story. We must advocate for ourselves. (And as women it takes on such a different weight). Can't wait to see you in person.
And a naive Question, why didn’t you collect the Money after the Gigs played.
And a Final Question, why did you break up with him before you collected the Money he owed you?
Most People in this Art World act like any Partners if they are left, they start a „War of Roses“, doesn’t matter if they are the Artist or those close to the Artists.
Yes he paid after being publicly outed. (And paid other artists he owed… Your welcome 😎)
Because booking agents receive the money in general. It’s their job.
Because f*** staying in an emotional abusive work relationship. My mental health is more important than money.
My question to you is:
Why would you even ask? There is no good time to leave anything bad.
The only good time is to go.
You didn’t read that I was ready to loose that money… You can only fight for yourself if you are ready to loose everything. Bluffing and putting on a show is literally what I have done my whole professional life. And I am tired of it.
That is how much me taking a stand for myself ment.
If you don’t understand that then you probably, and gladly for you, have never been back against the wall.
It is good you got the Money, and it was good that you went for it.
I asked the Question coz it can be seen by other Artists.
As a devoted Amateur-Promoter in the last Millennium I can tell that Vanity is one driving Force to be involved in Art, not the only Force but a Force that can easily „Feel Hurt”.
Nobody should „use“ its Record Company or his Agency as his Bank and nobody should break up before the Ferrari stands in your own Garage.
Hope to see more of your great Concerts and I hope you will never be cheated this Way.
I truly appreciate you are out here trying to do your best and uplift and create spaces for art! And the reason I went public is because someone that day needed to see it! And I needed to release myself from the fear.
But also when it comes to matters of negotiation, sometimes the Ferrari just isn’t that important.
I got two feet… I can walk.
Thank you for your support, encouragement and questions!

No one should ever have to feel like that.
